Project Description

PETG
PETG, or polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified, is a transparent thermoplastic that belongs to the polyester family. It is a modified form of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) with glycol added during polymerization, which enhances its properties, particularly its impact resistance and clarity.

PETG is known for its excellent clarity, making it an ideal choice for applications where visibility is important, such as in retail displays, signage, and packaging. It is also highly durable and resistant to impact, chemicals, and high temperatures, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including food and beverage containers, medical devices, electronics, and point-of-purchase displays.

Furthermore, PETG is easy to fabricate using techniques such as thermoforming, machining, and bending, making it a versatile material for various manufacturing processes. Additionally, it is recyclable, offering environmental benefits compared to other plastics.
